Why should you care about the theme of your game? How can it improve your entire production and even team communication? Using practical examples, game writer Morten Brunbjerg gives suggestions on how to find, create from, work with, and develop themes for video games.

This talk will present some of the technical and design challenges that Donkraft Digital are facing and the solutions we have come up with, when using the Danish Vehicle Database in the world’s first car scanning game StreetCars.

3 years ago, Nikolai found himself leaving his blossoming career in games, and returning home to the rescue zoo he grew up in following the loss of his father. With fierce motivation driven by a desire to realise his father’s dream, he now helps his Mother at Odsherred Zoo Rescue, giving a loving home to rescued animals from all walks of life. Rescue Wars Online is a mobile game Nikolai is hoping will raise the money needed to help save and grow the zoo into the oasis his father envisioned. He started Play Rescue, a company that creates games and uses online platforms to broadcast his message to the world, giving a global audience access to unique experiences with the rescue animals at Odsherred Zoo Rescue and aspires to help other charities in the future. With John Reardon, Games Artist and 3D Generalist, Nikolai will share the journey of how Play Rescue came into existence and what Play Rescue is doing to combine charity with games on a global platform.

Det handler ikke længere blot om at spille computer, men der er i stigende grad fokus på kost, motion og de fysiske fællesskaber. E-sport er lige nu den hurtigst voksende aktivitet i Nordjyske foreninger.

Lasse Kjær er Esportkonsulent hos DGI Nordjylland, og har været med til at starte over 30 foreninger. Hvad skal der til for at gamerne trives i en forening og hvordan får man startet godt op?
